Do You Trust Yourself as Much as Others Do?

Hey Reader,

The Clarity Spark

You can be fully capable and still question yourself. Many high performers struggle with a confidence gap: they’re doing the work, getting the results, but don’t feel fully anchored in their own leadership.

This one I am continually working on personally. Even though I know better, self-doubt still creeps in and whispers in my ear. It takes a lot of work and effort to ensure that whisper doesn't get louder and distracting. Here's what I've learned over the years that's helped me and my clients.

Wright Tool: The Confidence Catch-up

The Confidence Catch-Up tool is designed to help leaders bridge the gap between capability and confidence. When self-doubt creeps in, even when you’re achieving results, it can help re-ground you in what’s true.

The Benefits:

  • Reinforces progress you might be minimizing
  • Highlights courageous decisions you’ve made
  • Validates external recognition you’ve been brushing off

What to do:

Write down on a piece of paper. Even better, I'd like you to please capture these thoughts daily in a journal.

  1. 3 recent wins (however small)
  2. 1 risk you took that paid off
  3. 1 thing others believe you’re good at (that you downplay

By doing this regularly, you'll build new neurons that change your thinking, and you'll get an instant dopamine hit! Who doesn't love those positive endorphins kicking in!

The trick is that this is not a one-and-done! It needs to be built into a regular practice for long-lasting effects.

Business Tip

Confidence isn’t just a mindset; it’s visibility. Share your work, ask for feedback, and own your wins in team meetings. Others can’t value what you hide.

Mindset Reset

“Confidence is not ‘they will like me.’ Confidence is ‘I’ll be okay if they don’t.’
